A FRAMEWORK, PHILOSOPHY AND STRATEGY
FOR LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

Our Framework

provides the

foundation and structure for everything we do.

We use it to design experiences

to help leaders grow in self-leadership

as well as in relational, team, organizational,

and community leadership.

We foster growth and development

by facilitating workshops,

coaching individuals and teams, and

offering leadership development events.

LEADERS SHARPENING LEADERS

We are a Network of certified Christian coaches and facilitators

who are dedicated to developing better leaders and stronger teams

in the organizations, businesses, churches, and communities we serve.

We believe that given the right environment, leaders will naturally sharpen each other. We use a "coach approach,” coming along-side leaders from every sector to offer encouragement and help develop their teams. Practical tools are passed on “leader to leader” through, workshops, coaching, training, roundtables, conferences, and events.

We believe that every leader has a "leadership lid,” a term used for the current level of their leadership ability.  Organizations and communities cannot grow above their leader's current "leadership lid." In order to grow the organization or community, we believe we must first grow the leaders. We use our framework to help create a movement of “leaders sharpening leaders,” nurturing a leadership culture that will help to raise the organization or community's leadership lid.

LEADER TO LEADER™ FRAMEWORK

THE FOUNDATION FOR ALL WE DO

Our Framework began with the question, "Who Should I Be Leading?" We chose five domains represented by five squares - Personal, Relatonal, Team, Organization, and Community leadership. For each square we continually ask, "What Should I Do to Lead Effectively in this Leadership Domain?" This diagram has become a framework; a foundational structure on which to build as we grow personally in servant-leadership.  Every principle of leadership fits somewhere on this Framework!

We believe that leaders are smart—given the right environment and some powerful coaching questions, we know that leaders will sharpen each other and grow together in servant-leadership. Everything we do is based on this Framework. Here it is in a nutshell:

LEAD YOURSELF

The Framework illustrates that the first person we are called to lead is ourselves. Leaders develop character and focus as they clarify their personal   design and calling, stay true to their personal values, and learn to live intentionally. Servant-leaders live and lead from the inside-out.

LEAD ONE-ON-ONE

Next, leaders are called to influence others relationally (one-on-one). Effective leaders know the importance of building trust and handling conflict well in order to establish healthy relationships. And of course, leaders always return to leading themselves first.

LEAD A TEAM

Next, leaders work with a group of people, helping them to grow into a healthy team. A leader’s first team is often their family. To be effective, a leader must model the way, inspire a shared vision, equip and empower others, innovate and evaluate systems, celebrate wins, and encourage hearts.

LEAD AN ORGAIZATION

Leaders may eventually become “leaders of leaders” in an organization, business, church, community, or beyond; the principles of servant-leadership remain the same, and no matter how far they progress in leadership, a wise leader continues to live and lead from the inside-out.

LEAD A COMMUNITY

Servant-leaders will reach a point where they desire to reach out beyond themselves, their teams, and even their organizations. They can use their influence to have a positive impact on the community in which they serve. And, as always, a wise leader continues to personally live and lead from the inside-out.

A PROVEN STRATEGY

A solid, proven strategy for developing servant-leaders can be built upon this Framework. Individual or group coaching, workshops, retreats, events, and conferences can all be designed to build on the timeless principles this Framework represents. Since the framework is progressive in nature, leaders can continue to build upon it for the rest of their lives. THE APOSTLES CREED - A MODERN TRANSLATION

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord.
He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit
And born of the Virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended to the dead.
On the third day He rose again.
He ascended into heaven,
And is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting.

Amen.
